ORMEC in house Repair Services

Repair Services

Full repair services are provided for all our products.  ORMEC’s Factory Repair Services include warranty and non-warranty repair. Repairs are backed by a two-year warranty. Special handling services, including Expedited Repairs and Emergency Exchange/Replacement are available. All returns require a Return Authorization (RA) number.

ORMEC does not support repair houses that claim to be “certified repair technicians” of our products.

  • Customer initiates requests for return of an ORMEC item.
    • Detailed descriptions of any problems or issues related to the product should also be provided by the customer.
  • A flat-rate charge is assigned to each ORMEC item to be sent in.
  • All items sent into ORMEC will undergo much of the same testing as new ORMEC products that includes but is not limited to:
    • Thoroughly inspected, tested, and burned-in at elevated temperatures.
      • Servo Drives to be tested under load.
    • All repairs correcting functional or performance issues completed.
    • All applicable standard upgrades performed.
    • When available, application programs & files downloaded and archived at ORMEC.
    • Cleaned and minor cosmetic damage repaired.
    • Item returned with description of problem and 2-year warranty against manufacturer's defects

  • XD Indexer
  • SMLC
  • ORION
  • GEN3 (Generation III)
  • R-Series, SD, SW, SM, and G Series servo drives
  • ORMEC servo motors

ORMEC Return Authorization form

Information needed on ORMEC RA form:

  • Model and serial number of each item
  • Description of the problem
  • Type of repair: Warranty or non-warranty
  • Any special handling requirements
  • Billing information: Purchase order or credit card
  • Shipping information: Carrier and service (overnight, 2nd day air, surface).

ORMEC Repair Service Engineers use factory certified ORMEC parts and follow rigorous quality procedures.  We strive to bring the repaired product back to original specifications.  All repairs are subject to the same tests, burn-in and procedures used by our production department.
