G-Series Digital Drives

March 18, 2016 – Rochester, New York, USA – Effective July 1, 2016 ORMEC will be discontinuing the production of a subset of the G-Series Family of Digital Drives.  The affected model numbers are shown in Table 1.

Orders for new drives can be placed through June 30, 2016.  As of July 1, 2016, new drive orders will be based upon availability.  ORMEC will continue to offer repair services of the SAC-G203 through SAC-G220 Series Drives and SAC-G03 through SAC-G20 for an extended period of time.

Upgrade options will be available later in the year as ORMEC introduces a new Digital Servo Drive with an Analog Interface.  The new series of servo drive will be capable of driving all servo motors driven by past G-Series Servo drive.  Adapter cables for many of the motors as well as the interface to the Motion Controller like ORMEC’s ORION control will also be available.
